Das sind die Werte die im Rugby verkörpert werden und leider heutzutage oftmals unterschätzt oder verloren gehen. Mit unserem neuen Projekt and der Schule Gisikon, wollen wir dafür sorgen, das wir den Kindern diese Werte übermitteln können, damit sie diese nicht nur in der Klasse im Unterricht, sondern auch auf dem Pausenplatz und im Alltag verkörpern können. So können wir versuchen, dass die Kinder eine noch bessere Version von sich selbst werden!

Letztes Jahr begann ein Plan an der Schule Gisikon, die Werte von Rugby im Schulumfeld einzusetzen um die Klassendynamik innerhalb und ausserhalb des Klassenzimmers zu verbessern.

Diese Projekt wurde nicht nur der Gemeinde, sondern auch dem Kanton vorgestellt und von beiden abgesegnet, so dass wir nun in einer Piloten Phase stehen, in der wir beobachten, wie sich eine Klasse bis zum Sommer entwickelt.

Dies Phase ist heute gestartet und wenn wir erfolgreich sind, wird es ab dem kommenden Schuljahr komplett an der Schule in Gisikon integriert und für alle Klassen zugänglich gemacht.

In der Schweiz ist dieses Projekt einzigartig und ein echtes Novum. Bisher wurden Kindern Aktivitäten ausserhalb der Schule angeboten oder es wurde individuell auf einzelne Kinder eingegangen. Sich um eine ganze Klasse als Einheit zu kümmern, ist neu und ich kann mir nichts Besseres vorstellen, als dies mit der Sportart Rugby umzusetzen.

Das Projekt zeigt auch, dass Rugby in der Schweiz keine unbekannte Sportart mehr ist, sondern sich etabliert , nicht nur im Sport, sondern auch auf einer sozialen Ebene.

Ich bin stolz und freue mich, dieses Projekt als Trainer von Zug Rugby sowie als Vater eines Kindes dieser Schule in Angriff nehmen zu dürfen und hoffe, dass wir in Zukunft auch mit weiteren Schulen zusammenarbeiten können.

These are the values embodied in rugby, and unfortunately they are often underestimated or lost nowadays. With our new project at the Gisikon school, we want to ensure that we can pass these values on to the children, so that they can live them not only in the classroom during lessons, but also on the playground and in everyday life. In this way, we hope to help the children become an even better version of themselves.

Last year, a plan began at the Gisikon school to use the values of rugby within the school environment in order to improve class dynamics both inside and outside the classroom.

This project was presented not only to the municipality but also to the canton, and it was approved by both. We are now in a pilot phase, during which we will observe how one class develops until the summer.

This phase started today, and if we are successful, the project will be fully integrated into the school in Gisikon from the next school year and made accessible to all classes.

In Switzerland, this project is unique and something entirely new. Until now, children were offered activities outside of school, or support was given to individual children. Focusing on the whole class as a unit is new, and I can’t imagine a better way to do this than through the sport of rugby.

The project also shows that rugby in Switzerland is no longer an unknown sport, but one that is becoming established—not only in sports, but also on a social level.

I am proud and excited to take on this project as a coach at Zug Rugby, and also as the father of one of the children at the school. I hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to work with more schools as well.
