On Sunday 29th October Zug U14 fielded two teams in a competition hosted by Luzern. Zug Blue vs Zug White kicked off the competition featuring 7 teams on a bright autumn day bathed in sunshine.

Both Zug teams played well throughout the competition, with Zug White dominating all the opposition sides with excellent defending and well structured attacks. Their display of team spirit, communication and leadership showed how much they have developed as individuals and as a squad.

Zug Blue showed enormous resilience throughout the day, losing 4 games, winning 1 and drawing 1. The team grew in confidence as the tournament progressed, playing some of their best rugby in the last two games. Unfortunately for Zug Blue, they just lost out to a single breakaway try in the last play of the game against Lugano. Had it not been for the last minute try, the team would have recorded a memorable draw which would have been a more fitting outcome considering the passion displayed.

The Zug U14 squad rest and train this weekend and then meet again in Zurich on the 12th November
