Zug had worked hard on learning the lessons of earlier games in the season and put in a fantastic effort to apply those improvements against a very strong Northern Lions squad.

The squad delivered and we saw about 8 new players to rugby really shine and take a big step up into a very competitive rugby match.

When under pressure in our own 22 the team kept their heads and worked their way back up the field and when in the oppositions 22 made sure they came away with points.

After the match all the players socialized over a burger and a drink and watched the U19 match. The whole day had a really good rugby festival atmosphere, as it always does at Zug Rugby Club, and we're looking forward to visiting the Lions for a re-match in the Spring.
