The Zug U14s hosted Zurich Rugby Academy on Saturday 6th April at the Sennweid Schule complex in Baar. It was the first competitive engagement for the team following the winter break and they showed that the long time away from the pitch had not lessened their desire to win as they put on a display of high quality rugby.

Zug fielded 2 full teams, each playing against Zurich once for 30 minutes, and then playing each other for 30 minutes. The games were competitive with each side showing skill and tenacity on a warm and sunny afternoon in Baar. The club provided much needed refreshments and food with drinks and a BBQ for the players, coaches and spectators to enjoy. It was a festival atmosphere with all teams leaving with good memories, a few bruises, and satisfaction that they gave everything on the pitch.

Zug A beat Zurich 35-0 with a comprehensive show of skill, flair, and excellent game management. Zug B just lost out to Zurich 20-25 after a last minute try from Zurich to seal the win, and Zug A beat Zug B by 30 points to 25 after an outstanding effort and recovery by Zug B in the second half.
